golang-libgeoip-dev software package provides Go implementation for lookups against GeoIP files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install golang-libgeoip-dev
golang-libgeoip-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the golang-libgeoip-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep golang-libgeoip-dev *
You will get with golang-libgeoip-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
